Brief Profile: 

Prof. Shubhasheesh Bhattacharya, (Ph. D- Management, UGC-NET qualified), an alumnus of IMT Ghaziabad, is working as a Campus Director at SVKM’s NMIMS Navi Mumbai Campus. He has around 34 years of work experience in academics and industry. Before joining NMIMS, he worked as a Director at School of Management under Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar (Gujarat); and he has worked with many other reputed organizations like Symbiosis International Deemed University Pune (SIIB), GIM Goa, IBS Pune, I2IT Pune, etc. Before coming to academics, he worked with industry, including his stint with the reputed Nagarjuna Group of Hyderabad, heading Business Operations in Delhi and Kolkata as Branch Head. He has around 50 publications, out of which 18 are in Scopus, WOS indexed, ABDC ranked journals. He has interest in writing on people- management related issues and on social issues. He has successfully guided five Ph. D scholars. He has around 25 International Certifications. He is an accredited management teacher by AIMA and has received a couple of awards at National Level. He is a Life member of professional associations like, National HRD Network, ISTD, NIPM, AIMA etc. He has chaired a number of conference sessions; and also delivered keynote speech at Leadership Summit, organized by Muma College of Business, University of South Florida USA. He has passion for teaching, research, administration and institution building. He has conducted corporate teaching, workshops and guest lectures. He has also served society as a Rotarian, was recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.

His team members know him as a leader who has a strong combination of result-orientation and people-orientation, highly ethical in practice, resilient, humble & assertive, level- headed, strives for excellence and a very good team player. 

In his free time, he loves to invest himself in hobbies/ interests like, fitness, music, conch-blowing, badminton, chess etc.

Contribution/ Significant Administrative Roles (including the roles held in the past):

•  Currently, working as a Director, SVKM’s NMIMS Navi Mumbai Campus (SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed to be University).

Past Administrative Roles (in previous organizations):

• This includes, my administrative role as a Director at School of Management, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
• Plus, earlier handled roles as: academic council member, board of studies member, handled NIRF/ NAAC/ AICTE related work, conducted conferences, conclaves, chairman- academic audit committee, chairman- anti ragging squad, handled (as faculty in-charge) placement related work, alumni relation related work, guest lectures etc.
• In Industry (before coming to academics): Headed business operations as Branch Manager, located in Delhi and Kolkata, with reputed Nagarjuna Group Company of Hyderabad.

Ph. D Guide:

• Successfully supervised 5 Ph. D scholars, who have qualified and were awarded Ph. D degree.

• Delivered keynote speech on Inclusive Leadership, at Leadership Summit, organized by Muma College of Business, University of South Florida, USA, Feb 2022. (This was one of the MOST FULFILLING and SATISFYING talks delivered so far).
• Delivered lecture on "Indian Ethos and Values for Management”, for students from Leeds Business School, Leeds Beckett University UK, who came visiting India.

• Evaluated Master’s Thesis of scholar (for HWR- Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin, Berlin School of Economics and Law, Berlin, Germany).

Chaired the Conference Sessions:

• Chaired International and National Conference sessions, including doctoral consortium.

Training/ Workshop/ Guest Lecture/ Corporate Teaching conducted:             

• Conducted a number of training / workshop sessions including: (i) with Central Officers Trainees (UPSC- Cleared) on topic ‘Organizational Culture and Change Management’ at Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration, Ahmedabad, Gujarat; (ii) with TMTC Pune for the senior level participants of reputed Tata group company; (iii) with Wipro for their employees; (iv) training program for women entrepreneurs under "10,000 Women Entrepreneurship Development Program of Goldman Sachs in collaboration with ISB Hyderabad”; (v) training program for Reliance group company M/s Sylvassa Industries Ltd., Sylvassa, etc.

• Received awards including: (i) ‘Best Professor Award’ for outstanding contribution to Teaching & Education (Research), by Higher Education Forum (HEF), Mumbai; (ii) Certificate from AICTE, Ministry of Education, Govt of India, for Exceptional Contribution as a Primary Evaluator in "Toycathon 2021” a National Level Competition; (iii) ‘Best Professor in HR’ award by Lokmat National Education Leadership Awards; (iv) ‘Faculty-Guide Excellence Award’ from ‘IBS Alumni Federation for student's Summer Internship Project etc.
