SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS

The B.Sc. Economics program at Navi Mumbai Campus was introduced in 2021 by SVKM NMIMS Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics, as an innovative four-year full-time program aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP). The course is structured as 3 + 1 years spread across eight semesters.

Students who successfully complete the first three years of the program will be awarded a B.Sc. in Economics degree. Those who choose to pursue the fourth year will graduate with a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics degree.

The program is designed to challenge students intellectually, foster analytical and critical thinking, and make their academic journey engaging and enriching. Emphasis is placed on holistic development- balancing academic excellence with co-curricular participation.

Through summer internships and practical training, students gain hands-on exposure and develop analytical, quantitative, written, and oral communication skills that are highly valued by employers. The program not only builds a strong foundation for higher studies and professional careers but also nurtures values that shape socially aware and responsible citizens.
